Currently the available regulations on Fishbrain support recreational saltwater fishing regulations for state and federal waters from Maine to Texas, plus California, Hawaii, US Caribbean, and the Bahamas. Freshwater regulation support includes Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, Indiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, North Dakota, Ohio, Nebraska, and Illinois.

Regulations are available on Fishbrain.com and the Fishbrain app, only covering waters from the US. To check the regulations for a certain water, just go to Map - zoom in on the water you want to see the regulations as we fetch data based on the coordinates and display how many regulations there are within your area. When you tap on that entry point from the map, you will see rules and regulations for those species in that area.

Saltwater and freshwater fishing regulations are provided in an easy-to-understand format. With a glance, you can know if a fish is in season, how many you can keep, how big they have to be, and more. Regulations that are shown to you are determined by the current date and time, as well as latitude and longitude to show the regulations you need to know about in that specific area.

Regulations are maintained by Fishbrain and partnerships with state and federal governments, to ensure the most accurate, up-to-date information is available.
