You may notice that some waters in the Fishbrain map have a red badge denoting “private water, no public access.” This is part of our ongoing efforts to provide you with the best possible local fishing maps.
Private waters are waters on private land which don't allow fishing to the extended public, or prohibited waters that are located on protected areas.
To report a water as private, or suggest changes to a water’s current status, tap the “three dot” icon in the top right corner of the water page, then choose “Suggest changes” from the menu. Please provide as many details as possible to help our team investigate.
Anglers who live in certain residential areas might log catches in ponds that are exclusively open to residents of that area. You are responsible for confirming access information from local sources before fishing in any area, regardless of any catches logged in that area by other Fishbrain community members.
