Catches can be marked as Invalid if they don’t meet certain basic requirements. These catches are not removed, but they are not displayed to other users in order to maintain the accuracy and reliability of the app’s data. A catch may be marked as Invalid if it is logged too far from a body of water (shoreline proximity is accepted), has an unrealistic weight-to-length ratio, exceeds the maximum size limit for that species (based on known records with an added buffer), or is missing key information such as location or species.

Invalid catches are excluded from public areas of the app, meaning they will not appear in the feed, on leaderboards, water pages, or on your profile when viewed by others. However, you will still be able to view your own Invalid catches.

To update a catch and remove its Invalid status, you can adjust the pin location to be near the water where it was caught or correct the weight or length to reflect accurate values.
